The Langtang Valley Trek is a beautiful trip in the north-central Himalayas of Nepal. Situated around 51 km north of the Kathmandu Valley, the Langtang Trek offers a great excursion with the combination of beautiful mountain scenery and traditional stone houses. The region is well-known for its Langtang National Park, which contains a diverse range of climatic zones, dense forests of oak, maple, and pine, and wildlife such as Himalayan black bear, Himalayan Thar, snow leopard, yak, red panda, and many others.
Our trip starts with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi, through the rhododendron forest, traditional villages, mani wall and chhortens. During the following days, we hike Ghoda tabela and enter Langtang valley, crossing the Lama hotel, following the fluttering Buddhist prayer flags.
also leads to Kyanjiin Gompa, the view point of the trek offering panoramic views of the mountain vistas including Langtang Lirung (7,246m), Sisha Pangma (8,027m) and the Ganesh Himal range.
We return to Kathmandu after photographing the breathtaking views.
