Since its inception in 1997, PU has been one of the fastest growing universities in Nepal having its relation already established with 42 national and international Universities. PU has established 4 constituent schools and 58 affiliated colleges under the Faculty of Management studies, Science of Technology, and Humanities and social science which are aspiring and succeeding in making the vision of PU come true: to be the leading educational institution for enhancing the quality of education in the country.

PU believes in the professionalism Coupled with ethical and moral commitment leading to development of a holistic personality .PU has a team of highly qualified and experienced faculty members in different schools to provide higher education with the goal and responsibility of producing the human power competent enough in the global context. We are proud to inform that all students of Pokhara University, across different schools and colleges ,are placed as interns in different academic institutions and organizations and we are confident that our teaching methodologies will prepare them for creative and critical thinking and to implement the knowledge in the immediate future in higher education and various professions in Nepal and abroad. PU has developed a number of policies that are relevant for promoting good administration and student participation within the University.

As a vice Chancellor of PU, my commitment will be to strengthen the basic and higher education in all corners of the country by fortifying both academic and administrative aspects of university. I will dedicate my efforts to make sure that Pokhara University becomes the location for the faculties and students not only to teach and learn the knowledge, but also to produce knowledge and reach out nationally and internationally. My vision is that Pokhara University where the faculties and students have the access to conduct researches ranging from the diverse issues humanity is facing worldwide to the science, technology, and the digital age of the 21st century. To make our vision come true,I welcome students’ community ,faculty members, staffs and entire PU team to join us in building human resource with clear academic and administrative vision.
