Green Horizon Tours & Travels has been organizing tours and trekking in Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan since 1992. Ever since its establishment it has focused on quality products and prices. Annapurna Trek, Everest Base Camp Trek, Manaslu Trek and Kanchenjunga treks are some of the most popular treks it is operate in. Tours involve natural and cultural sightseeing in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Patan, Pokhara, Chitwan, Ilam and many other places. Likewise it also regularly conducts package tours to Mt. Currently Green Horizon has three offices, all based in Thamel, that deal with various services, from trekking and tour to air/bus ticketing and accommodation. It also own Green Horizon Bus services and has three air conditioned buses in its fleet. These buses regularly operate between Pokhara, Chitwan and Kathmandu at very reasonable packages. Moreover it also operates a cyber café in Thamel primarily to cater to its every increasing clients and customers.

Hotel Bubo Himalaya (Click here) is located in the center and the main touristic area of Kathmandu called Thamel. We provide single, double and twin air-conditioned rooms with attached bathroom and 42-inch LCD TV, free high – speed WI FI. Hotel Bubo Himalaya provides luggage storage, currency exchange and laundry services on request. Guests may rent a bicycle/car to explore the area, or approach the tour desk for sightseeing activities and travel arrangements. Hotel Bubo Himalaya is situated within walking distance of major businesses, diplomatic offices and popular tourist stops. The hotel is just 2 km to the famous Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Beautiful Swayambhunath Stupa is 4 km away and Tribhuvan International Airport is 7 km away. You could find a lot of souvenir shops, bars, restaurants, SPA centers around.

Trekking fee & Permits

A trekking permit is required to trek in any part of Nepal. If you want to trek two areas, you will need two permits. Each permit requires details for the route and region. Police check points are set up in some areas so do not venture off the set route unless you carry cigarettes for officers.

  1. Permit fees are quoted in US$ but  payable in Nepali Rupees
  2. Trekking Permits will not be extended past your Visa Expiry Date

Entry Permit to Trek in Conservation Area
Entry Fee (Per Person) to visit Annapurna Conservation Area (ACA):
For SAARC Nationals: Nepali Rupees 200.
For other Nationals (other than SAARC countries): Nepali Rupees 2,260.

Entry Fee (Per Person) to visit Manaslu Conservation Area (MCA):
For SAARC Nationals: Nepali Rupees 200.
For other Nationals (other than SAARC countries): Nepali Rupees 2,260.

Entry Fee (Per Person) to visit Gaurishankar Conservation Area  (GCA):
For SAARC Nationals: Nepali Rupees 200.
For other Nationals (other than SAARC countries): Nepali Rupees 2,260.

Note:

  1. Entrance fee not required for children under 10 years of age.
  2. Trekkers visiting both the Consaervation Areas will require to obtain individual Entry Permits for both ACA and MCA.
  3. Two passport size photographs are required while applying for each Entry Permit.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. This Entry Permit is valid for single entry only and is non refundable, non-transferable. The permit holder can enter the designated places within the Conservation Area.
  2. Person entering the Conservation Area shall abide by the National Park and Wildlife Conservation Act, 2029 B.S. (1973) and the Regulations made under this Act.
  3. This Entry Permit must be carried during the entire trip and should be shown if concerned personnel of the Conservation Area want to check it.

Restricted areas which have been opened for Group Trekking
The following restricted areas are open only for group trekkers. And a trekking permit will not be issued to individual trekkers for such areas. The areas and required fees are as follows:

Note:

  1. To get a group trekking permit an application form with other relevant documents should be submitted through any registered trekking agency of Nepal.
  2. Trekking fee can be paid in Nepalese currency: Notwithstanding anything written in above, the Indian citizen can pay in Nepalese currency equivalent to US Dollars.
